U hv to setup a uv filter to solve yr issue
>The algae seeding already developed, the only possibility to completely removed gw is to siphon all water out and scrub every single corner of the tank or take bro Ron advise to install a uv steriliser.
Algae seeding developed will cultivate gw very fast, the ammonia presence is high which support the growth and lighting contributed as well.
Algae tend to compete oxygen during night without lighting, your fish will have a high tendency in suffocation.
>Put in a uv light problem solved
>For green water.. first u need to remove the ammonia and nitrate. . As algae grow faster then you can wc.. one way is add a UV 24hr until all green gone. .which also mean bb will be kill most also. Thereafter on your UV maybe a few hr per day will do to maintain the green problem.
>ur light too bright for Green water to thrive... how much and wat kinda lightings u using?
>Its might due to the result of an excess of nutrients, particularly some phosphates. Also when fish are overfed and the excess nutrients are not absorbed. These are generally harmful for fish, and the situation can be corrected by changing the water in the tank and reducing the amount of food given.
>Agreed with Bro on the use of uv filter.
It should clear in a week time.
Looks like u using canister filtration? if yes, can connect the output of the canister to the UV filter.
>Sorry bro hijack ur thread.
Any recommended uv device?

Any recommended uv device? depends ur tank size.
they say as general guide
3ft and below 9w
3-4ft 11w
5ft 18w
abv 5ft just up the watt accordingly
for me i using 11w or 13w (cant rem but i bought the biggerst avail ) UV tube in my 522. (cheap and good... below $30 or 40 i rem) <-- this is the biggest watt rating available
DIY style. i put bought the GREEN taiwan brand standalone underwater UV tube, v nice packing box.
-- dun buy those lousy packed ones as i ganna current leakage on a cheap brand and my PH meter jumps like crazy .
then put it inside a PVC tube and throw in sump. so water will pass thru . not 100% but water still flow through.
so far i dun have green water issue at all even w strong lights.
if u buy those ready made w pump or those inline installed for pipings, more exp. but my concern is flow affecting?
DIY if u got sump. cheap and good.
if not, intank type i tink only up till 9w blub.
inline can go v exp. thats if u no sump and need to use those inline hose connect type.
but install on top ur tank. in case crack , ur living room wont become a swimming pool. (i think last yr someone ganna)
-- actually i find those 9w in tank type w power head is good enought for below 5ft. can use it as a surface wave maker too.
